"voices of the void scares me more" Joey, you actively run at the aliens and go to the bathroom.

Dr. Nose was in chat for this, and outright said "I should put that in" (paraphrased) a few times to terrorize Joel even more.

Now that I've seen Joel play this again , damn the atmosphere of this game is really something else even after 6 years , I know that most of it comes from the sounds when searching for signals but the moment it's locked on and everything just goes abruptly silent and it's just you and the signal playing alone in a dark room gives me chills , and the rain and thunder in this game my god , wish the developer came back to this because he really had somethin great going on with this game

Signal Simulator scared Joel so badly at one point during this stream it actually dumped all the serotonin from his brain and made him irreparably upset for the remainder. Well done Mr Signal

Genuinely did not realize how long it's been since the original Signal Simulator streams. Feels like it wasn't that long ago that Joel was whipping out the comfort crowbar and riding around in that golf cart with crazy Romanian folk music.
Both seasons of Voices of the Void have been incredible, don't get me wrong, but seeing Signal Simulator again is like Christmas coming early (which I guess it did, hahah!).
Crazy to think that I wouldn't have found two of my favorite games in recent memory if it weren't for Joel confronting his fears for all of us to laugh at (and even dread and gasp along with him).

Joel regularly for like the last 6 years: man wouldn't it be terrifying if a grey alien walked by this window right now? That would terrify me

Joel when that happens in a mod specifically designed to scare him: how could you.

you know, after joel put a jumpscare in that one signal simulator stream, I kinda feel like all these cheep jumpscares are just to get him back. And I'm all here for it-deserved lamo.
