Scotto is a fireman’s fireman, never met a guy who loved the job more. Would go from a tour to go teach at county academy and never had anything but a smile on his face. Couldn’t have learned from a better guy

You would be hard pressed to find any retired fireman that wouldn't want to ride on the rig "one more time". The job never leaves you.

Good to see Chief Goldfarb. I worked as his Aide a few tours in second half of 1995. I was the guy that got him past the gate guard to inspect the modular houses being built for the Navy Homeport at Mt. St. Michael’s.

This is incredible! My grandfather, Robert Stehl, retired as a Battalion Chief (Battalion 41) out of Flatbush, Brooklyn. I’ll never forget the day he brought me to his firehouse and introduced me to the crew — that moment changed everything for me. I’d always dreamed of becoming a firefighter, and that visit sealed the deal. Nearly 14 years on the job now, and I’ve never looked back. Best damn job in the world!

Started in a Suburb of Detroit in 1988 after I got out of the service. retired as Chief in 2018.   Still do a little teaching and consulting. Best times of my life.

Well done to FDNY 👨🏻‍🚒🧑🏻‍🚒 No better job in the world than being a firefighter. I have 24 years done as a firefighter and now a station officer in Ireland 🇮🇪  I've another 17 years left before i have to retire from the job but not giving it up anytime soon. Happy retirement to these lads.
