  The thing with the Mandela Effect is that it often happens because the brain connects something to another familiar association that looks or sounds similar. <br> <br>For example, with The Berenstain Bears, I think the confusion comes from the fact that “Berenstain” resembles German style surnames, like Albert Einstein. <br><br>People are much more used to seeing names ending in “-stein,” so their brains automatically rewrite it that way by accident. But in English, “-stein” and “-stain” create completely different sounds.<br><br>“stein” in English is usually read “steen” or “stine”<br>“stain” is clearly “stayn”<br><br>But someone who is used to the name &quot;Albert Einstein&quot; would most likelly write it with an &quot;e&quot; by accident.

  My personal Mandela hill I will die on, is the fact that they monopoly baron supposedly never had a monocole.<br><br>As a kid, I was an aspiring investment banker (don&apos;t worry, I grew a conscience when I hit puberty) and I used to terrorise my social circle by making them play it over and over. That monocole was the single recognisable feature and how you could tell he&apos;s supposed to be a rich fuck. <br><br>But yeah, don&apos;t trust your own brain. If you let it, it keeps you on a copium IV. It literally makes false memories so you don&apos;t have to admit you are wrong about something.
