Currently just got my last working line, DDR GSD. I am 70, this is number 13 since I was 16 years old. The Best

Never had a dog like my GSD. Never will. They're just different. Amazing.

My big male sheppie has saved me 2x from being attacked. One morning while walking 4 guys tried to jump me I saw them coming and turned back home they chased after us. We got 50 feet from the house and Odin turned on a dime and charged all 4 of them. They froze solid and he stopped and stood between them and me till I got inside and called he turned and ran into the house.

A few years later the wife and I were walking on a wooded trail and this crack head came running out of the trees straight at us. Odin went right at him and as the guy went to pull a knife from his hoodie he nipped the guys hand causing him to drop the blade. He didn’t break the skin but the guy freaked out and bolted.

They are such amazing dogs I would absolutely trust them with my life and my families. And they are so sweet to their owners literally your best friend till the very end.

I rescued an abused/neglected/unsocialized working line GSD two weeks ago. Wasn't aware of it at the time, and this is my first GSD experience. Was bumpy at first but I am rapidly getting on board

I had a GSD crossed with a huskie. Dogs energy was insane but extremely obedient. He also shed like no other. Pulled full clumps out after brushing for over 5 minutes.

With the sizes, I agree. I've seen a lot on the internet saying working line should be lighter than showline GSDs but my working line is surprisingly heavy for her age but she looks fine. She's very strong and still very athletic. She actually surprises other gsd owners with her size.

Our lab/golden retriever/shepherd mix shed SOOOO bad but he was the absolute BEST dog I’ve ever owned. He passed away last year at almost 14 years old. I miss him so much! I’m debating a German shepherd working line (we are active and I work from home so always home for training and to be active with it!).

I guess we got lucky. Got a beautiful working line shepherd at our local shelter. Very smart and easy to train. He wants to do things right. He’s a hundred pounds plus so it’s a good thing he was pretty well trained when we got him.

I have a all black female that got just over 90lbs around 2 years old. I leaned her out for health reasons but the best all around dog ive ever had. Super trainable, smart, alert at all times, and just a complete pleasure to have. Love my shepard.
