Here’s Why We REJECT the Catholic Papacy as Christians

  I married a sincere Catholic boy who didn’t attend church. I was a Protestant girl who did go to church, but I didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus until a few years later. Early on, we had a heated discussion about being saved by grace, through faith. I eventually prayed for God to give my husband a heart of flesh, and God opened his eyes to the Truth, about 15 years later. Now, we worship God together. We belong to a Reformed church, we pray and study the Bible five nights a week. God’s timing is perfect. I’m grateful to know our names are in The Lambs’ book of life.

  I grew up catholic up until I went through a divorce and needed help. &nbsp;I’ll never forget that one Sunday morning, after mass, I approached the priest and asked him for prayer. &nbsp;He said that I should call the church office and schedule an appointment. &nbsp;I left feeling so helpless about the church or the sermon that meant nothing. &nbsp;Later that evening, I called a family member, &nbsp;who was attending a small church, and explained the encounter with the priest. She said not to worry, she immediately called her pastor and he called me back and met with me later that afternoon. &nbsp;I gave my life to the Lord and never returned to the Catholic Church.

  I read these comments and I feel so blessed for the gift of faith and discernment I have been blessed by God with. I’m appreciate all of you of faith. We are never alone in Christ.

  My understanding of Peter’s confession in Matthew 16:16, &apos;You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,&apos; Jesus blesses him because that truth came by revelation from the Father (v.17), not flesh and blood. Then in v.18 Jesus says, &apos;You are Peter [Petros - a stone], and upon this rock [petra] I will build my church.&apos;<br>I&apos;ve always seen the &apos;rock&apos; as referring back to Peter&apos;s confession of who Jesus is - the foundational truth that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Jesus Himself is the true Rock and Chief Cornerstone (1 Cor 3:11; 10:4; Eph <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDIHj3TWAFc&amp;t=140">2:20</a>; 1 Pet 2:4-8). Peter is a living stone, like all of us who stand on that same confession of faith. The church is built on Christ, not on any one apostle. What a solid foundation that is - the gates of hell will never prevail against it!<br><br>‭

  As someone born into Catholicism and attended Catholic schools, this man is 💯 % accurate. 45 years ago I was led to Jesus and studied the Bible in three versions to find the words purgatory, venial, moral sins, the Pope, praying the Hail Mary etc. I consulted with the parish priest and he waved me away &nbsp;uninterested in my questions. <br>I never looked back. I have only belonged to Bible believing church’s over the last 40 years. Shame on the Catholic church for continuing to lead people through their man made false doctrines.

  Paul wasn&apos;t chastising Peter over the scriptures. He was chastising Peter, because he was being a hypocrite in front of certain circles. He acted a certain way in front of certain jews. While in the presence of the gentiles. We are warned about double minded people.

  Thank you, Todd and Nathan for this video! &nbsp;I am hearing and seeing some growth with the RCC among some young people and that concerns me greatly! &nbsp;This kind of video will surely help in conversations that hopefully steer people clear of this apostate church and repent and believe the gospel of Jesus and grow in grace.
