Mr. Ballen, you're no coward, you're human. From one veteran to another it takes bravery to confront the darkest aspects of our nature. Anyone else in your shoes would have given up. I hope you can keep fighting and be here for your wife, your children, and all of the people who need you. You are needed... make no mistake. We will all face our creator one day and he is just. He knows our hearts and understands the tragedy that is our world and our predicament. Hang in there brother.

Finding out that Mr. Ballen himself is strange, dark, and mysterious is a plot twist I should’ve seen coming, but it was a welcome surprise. No matter what happened in his past, who he once was, I still absolutely love him for who is he now and his wonderful gift in storytelling.

AJ, as far as I'm concerned, your 3rd act is integral to what you do. I love that you provide the myth, the conspiracy, the fun, and then break it down into the facts, what is provable. And then leave it up to the viewer / listener. Especially because most of the time, there's still the inexplicable and the unexplainable left.

For what it's worth, I am so glad that John didn't lose himself when he was deployed. He made it through the telling, but you can tell how deeply it affected him.

PTSD is no joke. I am ex military Desert Shield/ Storm and I have it. People would ask me if I was faking it for disability. It is no fun and you have no control when it happens. Some things trigger it and you just have to deal with it. Luckily for me my wife understands when it happens and knows what it's going on. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Thanks again for having Mr Allen on.
