  12 am. No sleep at all :12 hours left till IELTS exam but I&apos;m listening to songs in order to stay calm😅💔<br>I got 6.5💔<br>0.5 short of my desired score<br>+got SAT 1200😣<br>P.S. &nbsp;I am Uzbek<br>Thanks for everyone who supported,motivated me.And I&apos;m planning to retake both😊

  I was about 15 when this song came out, I&apos;d say more or less the perfect age to be hearing this song on the radio for the first time, as &quot;We Are the People&quot; and &quot;Walking on a Dream&quot; have a nostalgic, summertime, energy of youth feeling to them.<br><br>I remember being at the beach, sitting with a friend at the soft-drink kiosk, in the Summer of 2009. &quot;Walking on a Dream&quot; started to play on the speakers and a simple thought came into my mind: &quot;Hey, we&apos;re young and alive and right were we need to be.&quot;<br><br>I used to listen to mainly 80s music at that point in my life, but I went to buy the Empire of the Sun CD at the record store, even though many people had already stopped buying music CDs at that point, as digital media was well on its way to taking over. But that first Empire of the Sun album was special and just hit differently.<br><br>Roughly ten years later, the lyrics of &quot;We Are the People&quot; (specifically: &quot;I know everything about you, you know everything about me, know everything about us... I can&apos;t do well when I think you&apos;re gonna leave me but I know I try. Are you gonna leave me now? Can&apos;t you be believin&apos; now?&quot;) became painfully relatable to me, as it became quite apparent, in spite of my shock and disbelief, that my four year relationship was rapidly dying and my girlfriend was going to leave me, and there was nothing I could do or say to make her change her mind, as the reason for her wanting to leave was due to circumstances that were completely beyond my control (my health failing).<br><br>This is one of those songs that will take you on a journey and mean different things to you at different points in your life.

  Why did the whole world change after 2020? Even the music back then was so good. What the heck happened after 2020? It&apos;s like the world got too damn serious and even the sun dimmed.
