The Evidence Is In The Fruit ll Welcome back to the continuation of our series, "The Evidence is in the Fruit," as we dig deeper into Galatians 5:22–23 and John 15:4–5 to unpack what it truly means to bear spiritual fruit in every area of our lives. In this message, we explore how the Fruit of the Spirit operates in three dynamic directions. First, we look at the Upward Fruit, which governs our direct relationship with God through Love, Joy, and Peace. We break down the vital distinction between happiness and joy: while happiness is merely a temporary reaction triggered by external circumstances, true biblical Joy is permanent, unshakable, and anchored in the presence of God regardless of what you are going through. Second, we examine the Outward Fruit—Forbearance, Goodness, and Patience—which shapes our relationship toward other people and dictates how we demonstrate God's character in our daily interactions. Finally, we turn our attention to the Inward Fruit, which must be cultivated within ourselves through Faithfulness, Meekness, and Self-Control. We discuss how faithfulness establishes deep personal reliability—the kind of integrity that makes people trust you and want to build with you. Drawing from Matthew 11:29, we challenge the modern misunderstanding of meekness, revealing that meekness is never weakness. Instead, it is best understood as the strength and composure of a trained warhorse—power under absolute control. True strength is not power removed, but power restrained, and real strength is received when you are fully surrendered to God. It all begins with character, self-control, power, and dominion. Having control over yourself is essential, yet it is vital to recognize that you can never manufacture or force the Fruit of the Spirit through human effort alone. As Jesus reminds us in John 15:4–5, we must abide in Him to bear fruit, because apart from the Vine, we can do absolutely nothing.
