I may have missed out on it but, has it been considered, that the script may not be an alphabetical one (meaning 1 sign 1 sound …. unlike English😂😂😂). There are writing systems that are based on syllables rather than on single speech sounds. And also combinations of symbolic and phonetic characters.

Perhaps we have not yet obtained the technology required to decode the book. Do we have technology that reads alien languages? If not, we are not as advanced as we think we are.
