  Graduated in ‘66 and enlisted in the Marines. Sent to Vietnam in Fall of ‘67 and I’m still trying to make sense of it. Lot of these songs put me right back into the fighting- can’t explain it. Lost so many buddies, and I still feel guilty I’ve had a good life and theirs was cut short. Many of you hear these songs and remember a past love, or a good time you were having. I’m jealous.

  It’s amazing how some “one-hit wonders” from the 60s still sound timeless today. Proof that one great song can outlive an entire career.

  It’s crazy how one great song can keep an artist’s legacy alive for generations. the 60s really proved that sometimes one hit is all it takes.

  Parents bought Iron Butterrly album for my brother and me for Christmas. They were in a Wards store and it was being played to showcase a console stereo system. They liked the organ and drums.  Bought it on the spot. 😂

  Classical Gas is so good. It’s a gas, gas, gas. 🎉I learned how to play it on guitar. Love that song. &nbsp;Mason Williams was a writer on the Smothers Brothers and he wrote the song. I could never make sense out of that. You telling me the guy who writes your show plays that good? That’s never happened again.<br><br>They used to play a couple songs all the time in sports and all of a sudden they stopped. We Will Rock You &amp; Rock and Roll by Gary Glitter. What happened?

  My high school football team charted high in newspaper polls one year. The team rolled over opponents. I played drums in our marching band. I recall several games that the band played Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye for the whole fourth quarter.
