From the 5th ed codex: “the vocabulary of the saurus is trim and almost entirely directly related to battle. The vast majority of the words they speak are terms souch as “flank, fall back” or “assault” although it is speculated that “itchy” and “dinner time” are in there somewhere too.

Pretty hilarious when the final boss is a dead frog with the admin password to all of Warhammer Fantasy.

Lord Kroak died and was so impossibly galaxy brained that he simply said "no" and continued as normal despite being dead

And lo, Sotek did descend upon the world, and he didst proclaim "HOLY SHIT I FUCKING HATE RATS", and the Lizardmen didst reply in turn "Yo, he's got something going on" and there was much rejoicing and many rat genocides were committed.
Thus says the Book of Sotek.

Kroxigors had been described to me as such ;
They aren't dumb or stupid, just slow to think.
Whereas skinks will mentally solve a problem in 5 seconds, kroxigors will solve that same problem in 30.

Another reason we think they are intelligent is that they can follow the sometimes complex tasks set before them by their quicker-witted cousins.
A moron would most likely fuck something up, even if given perfect instructions, as we see in our own world.

The millenia-old cities of the lizardmen were suposedly built by the strength of the kroxigors, who would heft the massive stones one upon the other, following the no-doubt complex designs set before them by the slanns or skinks.

So... this god frog is just hangin out? Ressed himself casually after being a sentient corpse for ages? No 1000 psyker sacrafice life support? Thats a god for sure.

Lord Kroak's corpse floating up to the Golden Throne, looking at the Emperor on the Throne, and just going "sucks to suck" while making the Custodes disconnect from the Server (Reality)

I love how all the elves, dwarves and humans pretend to be the main characters but if you inspect the lore, it's really just the Skaven and the Slann duking it out (and Nagash putting up a good show, for such is his power).

Fun fact about Skinks: they have enormous lung capacity. They can hold their breath underwater for dozens of minutes. This is also why they can fire a blow gun with the force of a musket.
And considering there is no place in the Lustrian Jungle that is more than 30 ft from water, they can swim right up to an enemy force, pepper them with darts, then dip.
They can also mimic almost any sound they have ever heard perfectly. They use things like bird calls and monkey noises as code to speak to each other in a way not even wood elves can understand when warmbloods are nearby.
So, yes, they can speak perfect Reikspiel if they learn it, but the only reason they will do so is to imitate your already dead friend to lure you deeper into the jungle.
