I remember my best friend in high school writing me about Autobahn in early 1975. He'd heard it on the radio (KTIM Marin CA) at like 1am. I got it as soon as I could and was instantly impressed. After that I bought the back catalog and followed ever since. Genius.

Now is the time when we dance.  I can definitely see the inspiration for the dance moves of the SNL Sprockets in Showroom Dummies and Pocket Calculator.  Mike Meyers must have seen these videos.

Been listening to them since the mid 70s. Inspired many, delighted all. Like the Beatles, true pioneers. No body was making anything like this back then. This were the days before Fortran and digital waves took hold. It was new fresh and weird, in a good way. My friends and I lived in NJ back then and were amazed to ride in the car and listen to a cassette of those guys on the new abd smooth i-70. Trans Europe Express and Autobahn fun fun fun, were awesome when you are stoned.
