  The ending being so bright and happy compared to the rest of the game is one of my favorite parts about it

  The last fight is extremely technically impressive for a game on N64 hardware. It's also stylistically impressive.

  The thing about Majora&apos;s Mask is if you look at the official art, there&apos;s a big difference in Link&apos;s character. In Ocarina, Link never smiles in the art, except when he&apos;s with Epona or Zelda. He&apos;s very serious about completing his mission, his duty. But this is a Link who has been through all that already. Now, there&apos;s no mission, he did his job, and he&apos;s feeling confident -- cocky, even. That&apos;s why in Majora&apos;s Mask art he always has this smirk. Before, he was forced to grow up to be the hero. Now that he&apos;s done with that, he has to grow up properly, and to do that he needs to understand every day people, their problems, and the relationships they have. That&apos;s why Zelda sent him back in time, and thats really what this game is about.

  Ah. Thank you Ms. Sarah Key. I&apos;m supposed to be a hardened lad by now, but watching you get beat by a small dog and panicking, breaking pots trying to get to the Observatory within 4 minutes till&apos; the End happens just reminded me of my first time playing TloZ: Majora&apos;s Mask, its got me feeling reminiscent. We called him &quot;Papa&quot; and he was an older gentlemen and a great man. My mother&apos;s best friend&apos;s father, and he was very important to all of us. One day while my mother and her best friend went out for business, I got the chance to play Majora&apos;s Mask and similarly get overwhelmed. Papa watched me playthrough and he made helpful suggestions; we tried figuring out who&apos;d want the Moon&apos;s Tear! I miss him. <br>Enough about me, thank you, I haven&apos;t thought about those happy memories in a while.<br><br>My favorite Zelda game. Majora&apos;s Mask is one of a kind! Majora&apos;s Mask has a fascinating development history. When Mr. Eiji Aonuma was approached by THE Shiguru Miyamoto to make a sequel to Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mr. Aonuma was excited about the offer, but was also shocked about the due date in which Mr. Miyamoto had given him to do so: One Year. Now in the year 1999, making a video game had many hurdles and challenges compared to today in 2025 where you can make a video game with a match and a rock within months; that is to say one year is still an insane feat in the year 1999 for Mr. Aonuma and his team to make a videogame sequel for Nintendo&apos;s greatest Epic entry. In a way, the development of Majora&apos;s Mask is legendary in its own right. The in-game time limit mechanic could be indicative of Mr. Aonuma&apos;s mental headspace during development and the ever shortening time limit to get the game shipped; I may be mistaken about the date, but in a 2013 interview on the development of MM, when he was asked about the darker themes like death, the end of the world, and the mask symbolism, Mr. Eiji said something along the lines of: &quot; I wasn&apos;t in the right headspace at the time... Never again, (about making Zelda with darker themes like MM) Something was wrong with me at the <i>time.</i> &quot; <br><br>There is something beautiful about Zelda Majora&apos;s Mask in which I can talk about it for hours. A wise man once said: A truly beautiful story transcends ethnic groups and boundaries and brings people from all walks of life together to enjoy it. I hope you enjoy Majora&apos;s Mask, Ms. Key!

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuP-Ol3tVBQ&amp;t=131">2:11</a> I didn&apos;t really think about it, but presumably Hyrule had a shield custom made for Link after he exposed Ganondorf since the Hylian shield in OoT is too big for him, and his Kokiri shield is obviously not ideal.
