  i&apos;m glad you talked about not going straight to hard wheels if you&apos;re a newbie! i&apos;ve been in skateparks for a few months now but am still learning on my 78as because they&apos;re what i&apos;m used to using everywhere else. i am sacrificing a bit of speed (tbh nothing noticeable compared to my friends who use hybrids) but going down ramps and pumping in bowls is not a problem because i&apos;m still getting the basics and don&apos;t want heaps of speed yet. learning new skills on the wheels you&apos;re most comfortable with is definitely the way to go until you feel ready to grab a more appropriate durometer.

  I&apos;d like to hear a bit more about the actual shape (you know, some wheels are pretty round, the others are more like barrels etc) - what are the advantages of each type

  GURL You&apos;re the ONLY one that explained it that I was able to understand. I searched videos that still left me with insecurities when I was not completely lost. You were very direct and clear which I thank you, I needed to hear &quot; If your new don&apos;t take this ...&quot; I find other videos to not be focuses on beginners or how a type of weel can make it more difficult and make people give up because they don&apos;t understand the problem is the wheel and it can be easier
