  Grindewald is incorrect in most lists. &nbsp;Dumbledore himself has said he was only a shade less talented than he was. &nbsp;This means that in terms of power scaling, he should always be directly behind him. &nbsp;<br><br>Voldemort was one of the most dangerous dark wizards, but feared Dumbledore. &nbsp;Grindy, in his prime or if he had never gone to prison, would have definitely beaten Voldemort as well.

  Snape wasn&apos;t trying to hurt McGonagal in their duel. &nbsp;It seemed like he was being very careful with her.

  I like the fact that during the &quot;battle&quot; between Snape and McGonagell, Snape redirected every hit towards the other Death Eater deliberately

  Minerva was indeed a powerful witch. I&apos; do not mean to detract from that when I say that her victory over Severus Snape wasn&apos;t much proof of that. &nbsp;Snape was not striving to beat her. &nbsp;He was only trying to keep her from killing him. &nbsp;He was, after all, a member of the Order of the Phoenix even if no one else knew it any longer. &nbsp;Certainly he was not her enemy though she considered him to be her enemy.

  Dumbledore is arguably the number 1# strongest wizard who wielded all 3 Hallows and a 4th Psuedo-Hallow with the Philosopher&apos;s Stone (He had possession of it in the 1st book) as well as Godric Gryffindor&apos;s Sword after the 2nd book, the last known Pheonix, Hagrid as a loyal follow who had his giant Cerebus dog, Acromantula with an army of spiders, and a Norwegian Ridgeback had he let him keep it and raise it, some of the strongest wizards in the world as loyal followers including the order of Merlin and Pheonix. Had Dumbledore wanted he easily could have taken over the wizarding world way more efficiently than any other dark wizard had he wanted too. The only reason he died was for plot.

You can definitely make an argument for Adult Hermione and Harry as 9 year head auror, or even Lupin somewhere after Kingsley. Close behind are guys like Yaxley, slughorn and Crouch Jr. who had the talent to be higher. I didn’t know where to place parents Longbottom or Lily. Didn’t Rufus Scrimgeour also put up a valid fight with Voldemort? I didn’t want to place Delphini Riddle.

  If you assume the chocolate frog cards are a statistical representation, there are about 100 cards covering about 1000 years of witches and wizards. That means you only get 1 great witch/wizard every 10 years. You can&apos;t have most of them living/present all at once.

  I think where I&apos;d most strongly disagree with the list is having both Grindelwald and Voldemort higher than the Founders. The four Founders of Hogwarts understood and could wield Ancient Magic to a degree that virtually no others could, sans Merlin (and perhaps Morgana?).

  I don&apos;t think most people take Lily actually fighting Voldemort personally from &quot;thrice defied him&quot;. The first one would be the recruitment attempt, and the other two could be anything from narrowly escaping Voldemort to taking part in a mission that thwarted his goals. No one believes that Lily and James having their wands when Voldemort came knocking would&apos;ve changed anything; he could&apos;ve killed them in his sleep.
