So nice to watch videos made by a friendly down to earth Scotsman with values similar to my own. Travel on a reasonable budget and staying in affordable hotels. Let's face it what us the purpose of a hotel - a place to sleep. My only requirement is it is CLEAN and an ensuite (age showing here). Swanky ridiculous priced places are not on my agenda. Please don't change your outlook on life.
Looking forward to next week.
Thanks again.😊

There’s a reason your viewing numbers are starting to hit telephone numbers each video.

Don’t change Steve, it’s because people have discovered a cool, calm Scottish gent that enjoys what he is doing even if it isn’t necessarily an enjoyable experience.

Looking forward to the big ferry crossing.

Bit of a random comment, but your channel got a mention to me tonight at my local Tesco! I was carrying a bag from my own Iceland trip last year, and a guy stopped to ask what the bag was (the writing on it is Icelandic) - he then mentioned your upcoming video going to Iceland, & asked if I subscribe to you (I said I did!). We chatted a bit about your videos. Anyway, just thought it amusing two random fans of the channel bumping into each other! 😅 keep up the great work!

It's 6 months since our household ditched our UK tv licence. This was the first YT channel we subscribed to and we still love it. More interesting than anything on terrestrial channels. Quality every time. Thanks Steve and Alicja.

So you walked past my apartment at a distance of 25 meters. You didn't smell my freshly ground coffee beans brewing ? keep the great videos coming, Steve.

It's a blessing that you have good legs Steve. The amount of walking you do to show me the sights is awesome. Thanks as always for your efforts, and for showing me Aalborg , where I have an online friend and always wanted to see more of where he lives. Looking forward now to the next video of that actual ship journey.

Tivoli is well worth it. It’s more of a garden than a theme park. The rides are a big attraction, but there’s a whole lot of dining and shows in there to enjoy. It costs just to visit the garden, but with many options for passes with rides, including day and annual tickets. It’s my favourite childhood day out when I visited Danish grandparents in the 80s and 90s.

I applaud how cool, calm and collected you remain trying to find obscure bus stops!

Hi Steve, greetings from Denmark. Great video as always, nice to see you for once on my home soil😊. I live in Frederikshavn, about an hours drive north of Aalborg, and I don't blame for not being a big fan of Copenhagen, nor am I, it has some interesting places for sure, but way to stressful.
And you answered my "wasn't it possible to take a direct flight to Aalborg Airport? Or was it just to expensive?" question in the video😂
OH, bye the way, the difference between Lidl and Føtex, is that Føtex is way more expensive😊, and Jomfru Ane gade is an almost legendary party street in Denmark, so rookie mistake booking that hotel😂🥳
Please come back for another visit, and not necessarily just Copenhagen. We have much more to offer than that, especially northern part of Jutland😁

Copenhagen Bus Terminal is a brand new facility. With the problems that come with brand new facilities. Dybbølsbro rail station is closer than the central station, but you'd have to transfer when going from the airport. I'd choose to walk from the central station, unless I had a lot of luggage.

Congratulations on finding the most notorious party street in Denmark. Jomfru Ane Gade. No Dane would choose a hotel there for a night's rest. Perhaps a day's rest, after a night's partying.

North Jutland is indeed an island. At present. From about the year 1100, until 1825, it was a peninsula. And it's not separated from the mainland at the same place as in 1825.

Steve just discovered your channel and it's really cheered me up as a man of the same age I spent my childhood holidays on ferries going to Ireland and around the west coast Islands in Scotland. I've been unwell for a couple of years but you have inspired me to travel back on the ferry etc when I'm well enough so big thanks for your work 🎉
