  I had a Specialized Sequoia for just over 20 years and loved it. 3 years ago, though, I reluctantly decided it was time for an upgrade. I chose the Canyon Endurace 7 AL for reputation, size (I&apos;m 6&apos; 6&quot; with a 37&quot; inside leg, so the 2XL frame was ideal), price and components. £1,500 at the time - and it&apos;s proved to be worth every penny. Robust, fast, reliable, and with - as I&apos;ve found - excellent back-up from Canyon. I had a small issue with the large chainwheel when I first got it (bike shop noticed it was slightly out of true), so Canyon refunded replacement costs in full and immediately. Great bike.

  Things like warranty support, crash replacement programs, customer service, and spare parts availability are part of the long-term value of a brand. It would be great to have industry insiders (CADE Media!) include that kind of info that is harder for the general public to get a sense of. If a brand has a low initial purchase price, but does badly in all of the things above, it&apos;s not actually that great of a a long-term value, and a brand like Trek with higher initial prices actually does decently because of their excellent warranty, crash replacement program, parts availability, etc.

  Great vid! This actually reminded me a little bit of the old Gran Turismo / Forza games where you&apos;d hear about the company, their history etc...quite a nice little intro for anyone purchasing. I do like the value tier chart, too. Expanding on this with more brands (outside of the big pro sponsor ones) could be cool, too.

  I&apos;m not huge into biking, I&apos;m only into biking to not be huge. Awesome video, I love my Cannondales, but it was really fun to see things analyzed like this

  German Rose bikes also seem really cool, and also direct to consumer. I’m from Poland so here bikes like KROSS and Romet are also popular but more for everyday purpose than racing or even regular road bikes :)

  How is the Cube not God Tier in terms of value? Carbon frame mechanical 105 for 1699€, Ultegra Di2 with carbon wheels for 2999€, top model used in the Tour for 7299€.

  Went on a splurge lately and bought 3 insanely good value mechanical bikes off eBay (early mid-life crisis), an S-works SL3 , Tarmac Comp SL5 and a BMC race machine. All in working order but at the same time future projects. All for roughly £500 cheaper than I paid for my 2020 Madone SLR 6 Segafredo, which was second hand. Can confirm all the bikes provide me with a similar speed average and similar smile on my face, the apple of my eye is my 2014 Venge - I&apos;m a sucker for this era of bikes even though I&apos;ve only been a roadie for 5 years or so these bikes are unreal and literally all you need at club/amateur level. Sometimes a grimace when I think about the cash involved in this hobby of mine. But what the heck, there&apos;s plenty worse things you can spend money on right?

  Hav you tried French manufactured &quot;Origine&quot; bikes. They are built in the north of France, near Valenciennes. Schedule a visit, or check their website. As with Canyon, they are direct sales from the manufacturer.
