Hearing that pony motor brings back some good memories! I used to run a D-7E at a sand and gravel plant in the mid 1980’s. Ours didn’t have any operator seat brush guard or ROPS on it though, just an open seat. It was a 1965 model.

Just so you are aware, the pony motor gets its water from the diesel engine. If the clutch is not engaged to turn the diesel engine over then the pony does not have water circulating through it.
