  People are confusing level 7 lyricists in the comments for level 7 rappers. I love MF DOOM, hands down the best penmanship in the game during his time and belongs on Mt Rushmore of greatest ever.<br>But as a rapper, he made his music intentionally difficult to connect to as a statement about hip hop (another element of his counter culture approach), great mixes and excellent production, but they took a back seat in all of his tracks to the flow. Kendrick has a top 5 pen in this generation, but understands how to weave it into top tier listenable music and create levels of enjoyment so everyone can get something.

  About Will Smith, he said “What are you doing? You’ve been rich for 25 years. What are you doing posted up on some corner?” I think his point is Will posed as someone from the streets when he should have been wearing moccasins and knits like a rich person. Good point actually. 😂
