I met him briefly at a restaurant in 1996. I was joking with some friends when we saw him. We were all trying to get the nerve up to go say something to him but we didn't. He was walking out and stopped right in front of me. He turned and quietly yelled "why don't you take a picture!" he then started laughing and asked if we were fans. Obviously we said yes we are big fans and he just said "big fans for a big guy huhuhuhuh" Signed an autograph and that was that. I so wish we all had phones with cameras back then. I literally lost the autograph that night and have always kicked myself for losing it. It was on a napkin and it vanished at a bar that night. Such a nice guy and an absolute legend.

That’s sad that his last human interaction was saying. “Don’t leave me” RIP

As a kid when this happened I thought 33 was old but now having past that age I see he was still a kid tbh

God, the "please don't leave me" part is heartbreaking. His very last moments seem to have been those of loneliness and fear.

Chris Farley, John Candy and Norm McDonald. These guys weren't just funny, they also had endearing personalities that made you wish they were your friends.

Chris Farley"please don't leave me". John Belushi"please don't leave me alone"both of their last words almost identical. It's a bit eerie

This is one of the saddest stories of all time. All of Chris closest friends are forever affected by this. David Spade said, "there's not a day that goes by where I don't think about Chris"

I own a shop in Madison and we clean cars for a local Subaru dealership. His mom brings her Outback in there for service, she is a sweetheart. You can tell where his personality came from, such an amazing family.

I remember being bullied heavily when I was 11 in 1997 at a new school, I discovered Tommy Boy and Black Sheep, Chris was the only thing that helped me through, I'd watch his movies every night, I never felt more alone, destroyed and angry when I heard he died, as a kid hearing he was heavily into drugs confused me, now I'm older I understand
