    the model 90 cost $69.50 according to the 1931 brochure.  Adjusted for inflation in todays money that would be $1,428.10.  CRAZY!  Beautiful radio my friend.  I got a pristine example of a model 90 just today.  I love it.

    It looks like the first restoration did not “stuff” the Philco Bakelite units.  They just soldered in new capacitors externally. I have a model 70 that I restored years ago the same way. Friends of mine have criticized me and said I should have melted the old inards and put the caps inside the Bakelite cases. So really don’t know what is best.

    Have a philco with an electric clock 4tube  its a tomestone  radio  early 30s  have couple of cathedrals one a trf  other superhet they work .👍. I dont recap have parts radios just filters added

    Hello. For tjhe more technically interested guys, is this already a superheterodyne receiver ?<br>What is the IF ? Long time ago they used 110 Khz. Four varable &nbsp;tuning cap&apos;s ? Why ? <br>Some detailed explanation using the schematic would reveil a lot to the technique, used in those days. <br>Most kindly, from an old technician in Belgium.

    Das sollte man heute nicht mehr so Reparieren 😡😡😡😡man sollte die alten Kondensatoren nur einseitig Still legen UND DRIN LASSEN, &nbsp;und darüber einen neuen Anbringen, das Radio VERLIERT &nbsp;SPÄTER &nbsp;SO &nbsp;DENN &nbsp;WERT. &nbsp;🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
