  Couldn&apos;t fault this one. Your best work. Thanks.<br>Antiochus made exactly the same mistake, 25 years before when he took on the Egyption Ptolemy forces. He led a successful cavalry charge on one wing but by the time he returned to the battlefield, the rest of his army had been defeated. <br>I think he may have been killed shortly after the Battle of Magnesia, while fighting a rebellion.

  It’s wild to think how differently things might have gone if Antiochus had managed to keep his cavalry under control instead of chasing the baggage train. You really nailed the &apos;what could have been&apos; feeling of this battle.

  Beautiful video! But from what I´ve read there wasn´t such climactic fight between the legion and the phalanx, since once the seleucid left was driven back, the phalanx officers decided to form a hollow square, and in such formation they managed to retreat from the battlefield in order, all while being pelted by roman skirmishers, since Scipio didn´t want to engage the phalanx

  Interesting how such a battle can presented as though we have a bird&apos;s eye view. The problem with the phalanx is that is completely unprotected on its sides and rear. &nbsp;The Romans were indeed able to disengage and regroup in good order, but a phalanx has to present its face to the enemy at all times or it becomes vulnerable as shown here.
