  Both his son and his wife would have potentially cost Alex millions. Paul Murdaugh was being sued by the family of the girl in the boating accident. Alex's wife had already left him and was starting a divorce proceeding, and that would have cost him more money.

  Paul’s face was intact. The top of his head was gone, and his brain was found next to him. That’s horrific.

  I’m from SC, been here 63yrs. This case was so much more. Maggie wasn’t even living with Alex when this happened and they were suspected of wrong doing when Busters gay friend (or lover) was found dead. Dr Phil you did an awesome job telling this story. Can we hear part 4?

  If he was such a decades long addict, why didn't he go through severe drug withdrawal in prison? Murdaugh is a habitual liar and a murderer.

  Not gonna lie as a father of 4 children and 5 grandchildren I can’t imagine a father doing this. But I also know evil is real.

  Just started watching this and I am reminded of a Paul Harvey radio broadcast "The Rest of The Story" where he reveals that the original settlers of the American Colonies repeatedly refused to have Lawyers allowed to emigrate to the Colonies because their "job" (how they made their money) was to twist the Law so that the guilty would not be punished.

  You can name the horrific behavior of the Murdaugh family narcissistic or what so ever. At the end it’s the result of a sinful lifestyle. They had the stupid idea, nobody can charge their misused power. Moreover nobody sees their evil deeds! <br>God sits on the throne and still watches precisely mankind’s intentions and steps.

  There is no doubt, &quot;Evil lurks!&quot; <br>Just can only imagine as Alex sister in law testified Alex told her that whoever decided to do this thought about it for a long time!! &quot;What type monster would this be considered?&quot; <br><br>Took the monies from persons who had lost their family members selfishly and left them alone to try to continue life! &nbsp;My question would be exactly why didn&apos;t he take his own life? (Instead he took his own spouse and childs&apos; life) without hesitation. &nbsp;EVIL 😈

  I have to say this podcast along with all the many others Ive watched it was so refreshing to not see anyone suggest that Alex committed the murder of Paul and Maggie due to “mental health issues” that Alex was suffering from. However almost all the podcasts either spoke to or referenced the level of “pure evil” that Alex projected onto his wife and son and to his many clients and law partners that he lied to and stole millions from.
