  Umar’s emphasis on process over profits is such a critical mindset shift. It’s easy to get sucked into outcome-based thinking judging every day by the P&amp;L and but the way he framed the trader’s journey as one of refinement, iteration, and delayed gratification really hit home. I’ve been trading for a couple of years and only recently realized how much energy I was wasting trying to force results. Listening to Umar made me realize that if I consistently improve my process, the P&amp;L will take care of itself over time. Big respect for Riz too for asking the questions that brought this out so naturally.

  Umar’s point about not scaling until you’ve solved the core issues in your execution was one of the most important parts of the interview. I scaled up too early, thinking more size would accelerate my progress and all it did was expose my emotional weaknesses and destroy my confidence. He nailed it: Size is a magnifier. If you’re not ready psychologically and structurally, it will break you. I’m now pulling back and treating this phase like a training camp again. Huge respect for the honesty here.
