  Her grandfather Ponnambalam<br> Ramanadan was one of the greatest freedom fighters in the country. His name is in every school text book and every history books written on independence.   Till date we don&apos;t even know what she looked like apart from the ghastly photo of her lying dead on an uneven concrete floor (if that even IS actually her and not a reenactment for evidence collection purposes) . She was an actual person who lived and judging by how she took the initiative and bought property under her own name with her parents dowry, showed a glimpse that was an independent and headstrong woman in an era of Sri Lanka which was nothing but male chauvinism but her face remains clouded every time I try to imagine her. With very little information I have gathered from reading &quot;A murder in Ceylon&quot; and this video, I can tell that she clearly wanted freedom from a man who was nothing but a plain old alcoholic and womanizer, who clearly was different from the polished and glitzy, over the top persona he showed to the public and his cricketing peers. She was scared of her husband, that very husband who none of the outsiders knew, not even his new shiny and fresh as a daisy mistress knew. Her fear was obvious as per the letter and it was to such a degree that she had to write to the most highest ranking police official of the country to request police protection to feel safe. There are so many things wrong with this case but amongst that would be the case being told from such a masculine perspective that the actual victim, the woman, a person who had a mind and heart of her own was just summed up to being some one&apos;s daughter, grand daughter in meagre two lines. Even in her death we never knew anything to bring actual justice to Paripoornam Anandam Sathasivam Rajendra nor did we even know what she looked like in life nor how she was as a person. She truly in all sense of irony, remains an unclear ghost who haunts her unsolved case which now barely even holds her name anymore in current day published law reports.

  My father-in-law played cricket with him and was in awe of how he drank himself to a stupor at the end of the day and will turn up and score a century the next day. The only man to have captained three countries in cricket. There is an interesting story about him in jail. One of his friends visited him and Satha asked him whether his wife believed whether he killed his wife. The friend blurted out yes. When his friend was leaving Satha said to him &apos; Tell your wife she is next&apos;
