"The Last Time" riff was written and played by Brian.

According to Pat Andrews it was Brian Jones who created the rolling riff for the last time. Brian was hurt by the fact that he got no credit for it.

Finally a documentary that includes all the singles both British release and American release. They could have spent more time on Tell Me though. One thing. Keith did not come up with the riff to the Last Time. That was all Brian Jones. Brian came up with most of the riffs. Cloud, Helper, Breakdown, Lady Jane, Black. All those riffs were played by Brian Jones.

The Brian Jones story is one of the greatest tragedies in music, he could play anything, named he band, got them gigs & drove them! He just let himself go & blew himself out. Jagger was a tad jealous also

I can’t believe they all argued with Brian over the name of the band! I can’t believe Mick and Keith wanted to call themselves The Dirty Roaches!

for information the first "Stones" guitar riff in "the last time" is a guitar riff of Brian Jones ........., actually Ronnie Wood play this riff in live performance, Keith has never play this riff. <br>however the "satisfaction" riff is totally based on "the the last time" guitar riff...

Those early singles sound as authentic as anything, the production is not bad. In fact, when they went over to Chess expecting some studio magic they found out its not studio magic, its the quality of the musicians. Out Of Their Heads is produced badly. Like it really is. Like a badly produced CD nowadays sounds. No idea how they achieved this sound back then but it is bad, there is no dynamics, what should be loud is quiet and vice versa no idea what happened there but somebody fucked up and it cannot be fixed
