I dug an outhouse behind an 1880s home back in the early 1990s. I got permission from a lady who owned the house she grew up there. I ended up digging a bunch of bottles as well as a chamberpot and a small porcelain doll. The owner walked up, with the aid of a walker. She asked me what I had found and I showed her. She told me that the chamberpot ended up down the hole because some of the contents splashed on her hand and she just dropped it. The doll was hers as well. Her sister took it from her and tossed it down into the smelly black hole.

I really wish you wouldn't use that black and white while your showing the buildings the first time! It makes a big difference to see old things like they really are! The history and location is such a big part of these shows!

We should not lose sight of the fact this is a FIRST PERIOD house and highly significant.

Im glad this was alluded to early on.

My aunt lived across the street from that house for years. Back when they were renovating the house we went to talk to the contractor and he told us that there was some stuff happening to the other workers to the point some refused to return. When I went to leave I got as far as the end of the driveway and I looked up at the window at the top of the stairs and saw (still haunts me to this day) a woman in a powder blue night gown. With strawberry hair. I know I saw her and she was looking at me. I went back to the contractor because he was the only one on site and I asked him who the lady upstairs was? He told us again he was the only one there. I thought it may of been my mother but there was no way she was going to be able to make it from that spot I saw the woman to where everyone was. Like, she would’ve had to teleport. We went in and there was no one in the house at all. I think I scared him because I went to ride around the block and the guy was boarding up the house and he never came back.

We have a house in our town, Menokin, Originally owned by Francis Lee, singer of the Declaration of Independence for Virginia. That house was lived in until the 1960s. The only modern technology was a telephone line. Then a tree fell on it and fell into disrepair. It is now being uniquely restored as a glass and steel house. They are replacing missing portions of the house with glass and steel. You will be able to see the original construction down to the bare bones. You can put your fingers into the fingerprints of the slaves who make the bricks for the house. Very interesting. It is suppose to be the first of its kind of restoration in the US.

It's more a fun house than a truly haunted one. You know this because the dolls batteries would be dead before you went in as much as it went off while you were there. It's akin to the Moss Beach Blue Lady host.

It amazes me how low the ceilings are in these era homes.

I love that you came to New Hampshire. There’s not very many ghost hunts done here. I live in New Hampshire and have since I was a little girl and I’m now in my 40s, so a long time I’ve been here and I love to see that you came to our state. Hope you had a great time while you were here.

My mom grew up in the 1950’s on an Illinois farm without indoor plumbing. She said it was awful in the winter!
