  40k players don't hate 40k. They hate the company that makes it because they charge $50 for a single bloody infantry character model. I got into 40k this year and 40k is amazing, but you really need to find an army you like and a 3D printer is a big help.

  The &apos;new&apos; Kill Team is completely different. &nbsp;The old Kill Team you know felt like it had clunky rules that tried to be a little original, but still just felt like a slow paced 40k lite. &nbsp;<br><br>The new KT is a dream to play. &nbsp;As a Malifaux player, it&apos;s tough to choose which I prefer.. it&apos;s that good.

  Have you tried out &quot;Battletech: Alpha Strike&quot;? &nbsp;It is basically an alternate set of rules that simplifies the record sheets into playing-card-sized cards (less logistics), and also simplifies the movement rules (uses measured distances - no need for hexes for moving or for determining ranges). &nbsp;It seems to be a way to target the &quot;hexless&quot; game players into trying out a semi-&quot;Battletech&quot; system.

  I do actually love Blood Bowl, but I completely understand why people don&apos;t like it. I like it because it&apos;s not balanced, and it&apos;s actually more about risk mitigation than anything else. And building your team over time is a BIG part of the game.

  Before i comment on anything specifics just need to say, Great video. it&apos;s always good to have a resource like this to gather different opinions of a game before jumping in.<br><br>That being said, MAN I didn&apos;t think it&apos;d hurt so much to see someone bounce off of Blood Bowl that hard. It&apos;s a game that brought me so many fun memories. Weird though that Guild ball jived with you for a lot of the reasons I enjoy about Blood bowl(The focus on scoring rather then just fighting, the humor etc)... But Obviously if the bones of a game don&apos;t work for you there&apos;s no reason to stick and keep playing. <br><br>On the other side as someone who just stumbled into the Gaslands hole, Hard agree. Played with with roommates on our kitchen table and we had a great time and may even start up a in-house season play. so fun!

  I do see your points about war machine and it totally makes sense as someone who is only seen a couple of games in &nbsp;<br><br>Of all the tabletop games I&apos;ve played it&apos;s the one that felt the most like chess to me. Knowing the exact threat ranges that your opponent&apos;s bottles can get in an attack, if you were to move your models up to threaten them for the next turn you also need to put some things in place to protect them and punish your opponent if they take that piece you just handed them. There is a huge amount of risk management figuring out averages on dice rolls and weighing your chances, as well as resource management knowing when to spend your resources to guarantee a hit or damage goes through through. <br><br>And the other factor that wouldn&apos;t be noticed in your first few games is that every damage profile on every weapon even if it seems generic is unique and has unique jobs to counter counter other specific types of units. Even a difference of two power can change the role that weapon has

  I appreciate this list as someone who has never ventured into war gaming but for which the concept is deeply appealing. It&apos;s like getting into an MMO, I can see myself starting and immediately going in deep, so this is a great way to figure out where to start!
