Brihad Bhagavatamrita 1.3 | The Unparalleled Service & Humility of HANUMAN | Gauranga Darshan Das

What makes Hanumān such a dear devotee of Lord Rāma? And why does Hanumān himself point Nārada Muni toward the Pāṇḍavas? In this third session of the Śaraṇāgati retreat, Gauranga Darshan Das continues Nārada Muni’s journey through Śrī Bṛhad-Bhāgavatāmṛta by Sanātana Gosvāmī. Prahlāda Mahārāja glorifies Hanumān’s service to Lord Rāma. When Nārada meets Hanumān, he discovers a devotee who values service above liberation—and who is eager to praise the Pāṇḍavas’ loving friendship with Krishna. He explains: ◼ Why a devotee continues to pray for Krishna’s mercy ◼ How Hanumān comforted Sītā-devī in Laṅkā ◼ Why Hanumān values service more than liberation ◼ The many ways Hanumān served Lord Rāma ◼ What Hanumān’s advice about Vibhīṣaṇa teaches us about judging someone’s intentions ◼ Why Hanumān considers the Pāṇḍavas especially dear to Krishna ◼ How Krishna served the Pāṇḍavas out of affection ◼ Why a devotee’s heart cannot be judged by their āśrama or outward position ◼ How humility, respect, and sincere sādhana help us receive Krishna’s mercy Chapters: 0:00 Intro and recap of Nārada Muni’s journey 4:39 Why devotees keep praying for mercy 7:48 A devotee’s prayer for protection 13:18 Bringing sincerity into our prayers and chanting 15:40 Prahlāda points Nārada toward Hanumān 21:11 Prahlāda glorifies Hanumān 24:57 How Hanumān gave hope to Sītā-devī 27:57 Why Hanumān values service above liberation 30:31 Nārada meets Hanumān 35:50 Nārada praises Hanumān’s devotion 38:29 The many ways Hanumān served Lord Rāma 41:14 Hanumān’s advice about Vibhīṣaṇa 44:12 Disagreeing with an opinion while respecting the person 49:00 Hanumān and Garuḍa 54:41 Why Hanumān directs Nārada to the Pāṇḍavas 58:00 How Krishna served the Pāṇḍavas 1:03:19 The Pāṇḍavas’ intimate friendship with Krishna 1:13:56 Hanumān glorifies Bhīma and the Pāṇḍavas 1:16:33 Why Hanumān stays devoted to Lord Rāma 1:23:03 Why outward position cannot measure devotion 1:29:19 The Pāṇḍavas’ detachment and devotion 1:31:01 Appreciating another devotee without envy 1:33:04 Engaging our senses in Krishna’s service 1:35:13 Humility and sincere sādhana 1:36:55 Closing discussion === #harekrishna #Krishna #lifelessons #krishnaconsciousness #gaurangadarshandas #gita #bhagavadgita #gitafordailylife #bhagavadgitareading About Gauranga Darshan Das Gauranga Darshan Das is an award-winning spiritual author, educator, and inspirational speaker renowned for making profound Vedic wisdom accessible to modern life.
