That's one of the reasons I love the early British rockers because they always gave respect and love to the people who taught them how to rock and that's the Black Bluesman.

I love that the Stones refused to play this show unless Howling Wolf could. They have huge respect for the Blues greats...Muddy Waters & Buddy Guy...bravo

the stones insisted that the wolf be on the show, they wanted people to know exactly where they were coming from

I love how Brian just starts to smile when they start talking about Howlin' Wolf and he interrupts Mick by saying, "now I think it's about best time you shut up and let Howlin' Wolf on stage." God bless Brian.

This was my adopted grandfather. My dad Hubert Sumlin was his adopted son. We had a wonderful childhood not knowing how great these men were.

There is more power in that index finger than any AK47. He sticks that in your face. You know you gotta' listen.

I LOVE that the ROLLING STONES gave HOWLIN' WOLF much, much RESPECT. The ROLLING STONES loved BLACK AMERICAN Blues singers and always gave them their "PROPS." The ROLLING STONES went to the USA to look for their BLUES HEROES while in the USA these same BLUES men were shunned by much of white America. Thank You U.K. for your musicians who thought Rhythm & Blues was GOLD, and helped to give these very talented BLUES singers much deserved credit.

This is such a beautiful moment. I've always had respect for the stones because they were never shy to praise the roots of rock and roll & acknowledge where their inspiration came from. Howlin wolf was an amazing talent & there are many other forgotten blues artists who played a great hand in pushing music forward but never got the adoration they deserved.

When Wolf was on stage he filled the room with his presence. The REAL BLUES.
