  My grandmother met Elvis in 1970 and she didn’t have a picture for him to sign and she was crying because she wanted his autograph and he said I can do better than that and he took the ring off his finger and gave it to her.then he requested one of the Memphis mafia members to retrieve a picture that he could sign. So she got the best of both words and not only that but my uncle who I never knew was dying of cancer band my grandmother told Elvis all he ever wished for was to meet him and to my grandmothers supris Elvis asked one of his members what was on his schedule the next day and when he heard what it was he said tell them I’m going to be late I have another obligation to take care of and he went and suprisedvmy uncle whov died 3 weeks later and even then he took a cross necklace off his neck and gave it to my uncle. I inherited both the ring and necklace and wear them only on special events. Elvis was a true humble human being and my grandmother often speaks of his generosity.

  It’s sad when you realize how much of a great help Steve Binder could have been for Elvis being his new manager instead of Parker. Steve actually understood Elvis and knew that the reason why Elvis was so popular are powerful was because of HIMSELF. He didn’t want to make Elvis into something that he was not. Too bad the Colonel stopped all contact between the two.

  That inhumane schedule killed this man. He could have lived into an old age, recorded, sang, many years more. That manager was a gift and a curse for him. Sad ending for a talented and loving soul. 😕

  Elvis unplugged! Wish I Icould’ve  been there!!❤ it wasn’t easy for Elvis to sit and sing. He had to move!
