  My mistake was buying on Amazon and only getting female shrimps lol. Maybe I got unlucky or it was picked like that. Suppose to be random lol.

  The tips in the video can help a lot of shrimp hobbyists who are newer to the hobby. &nbsp;If it&apos;s okay, I would like to add a few more here in the comments so that others will benefit from them. <br> <br>+ its always best to wash your hands and rinse them properly (preferably with unscented plain soap which is less harmful to your shrimp) before placing them in the aquarium <br> <br>+ It also might be best to switch to shampoo which are fragrance free and does not contain sulfates as, if these get transferred from your hands to your aquarium, it can harm your shrimp. <br> <br>+ You can also consider using jojoba oil for nutrition for your hair and avoid gel products which can harm your shrimp if accidentally introduced into your aquarium. <br> <br>Hope this helps anyone reading this. Wish you all and your shrimps all the best!

  Something to note, dechlorinators will lower oxygen in the water. You only want to use enough to neutralize the chlorine or chloramine. If you over apply, oxygen really drops.

  My biggest mistake was not acclimating the shrimp properly although my losses were surprisingly low despite the huge difference in water parameters, so low in fact that I now have over 300 shrimp from 12 I started with and only 3 died.

  I have a 10 gallon shrimp only skittles type tank. It’s 18 months &nbsp;that I have shrimp in it. Before that at least a year with nano fish. So &nbsp;I consider it mature. I test for everything ph &nbsp;gh kh. Ammonia nitrites nitrates . All that is good and stable.i got &nbsp;50+ wild coloured and a mix of &nbsp;different colours I bought &nbsp;like red yellow blue etc. yesterday I found 3 dead juveniles. One blue,orange ,jelly belly. I never loose the wild ones that were born in the tank. So I believe &nbsp;imported &nbsp;shrimp that are fairly new are just sick from the start. I’d rip acclimate till the tds matches. I do everything right as far as I know . But the imported &nbsp;shrimp always have a few deaths &nbsp;a few months after buying them.if the shrimp are sick from the start it’s very disappointing.

  I took the time to put new plants in for my new shrimp. Didn’t even think about needing to rinse them. Killed all my shrimp and snails!

  Started with 10 blue dream shrimp. Moved 7, to their own tank. Lost one. 2 were found later in community tank, sadly eaten bc they’re gone. Lost all but 3 bs. Now one is berried. She’s due in about another week or two. Water has evaporated some and I’m terrified to do water change bc one time I did one and swear it’s what killed most the shrimp I had. So I’m just slowly cleaning little out with a pipette right now. Listening to your tips. Hoping I can add some water back to top it off.

  Ahhh. I have a divided ten gallon tank. Shared water but three separate sections. There different colors. Mesh between plexiglass dividers. Undergravel filter shared. Hob filter..and two pump driven sponge filters. Ok so...<br><br>Shrimp on the center and right sections are fine. <br><br>Ones on the left are dying about two per week. And I began with 22 three weeks ago. Very active.<br><br>pH 7.6-8.1<br><br>No heater<br><br>Moss lots tank cycled for Three mo<br><br>Powdered food every other day<br><br>One Frozen Bloodworms per week<br><br>One soy husks per week<br><br>Don&apos;t bother them, don&apos;t mess with them<br><br>Have not done much water changes<br><br>Water level has evaporated two inches will add distilled water<br><br>Any idea what&apos;s going on<br><br>No tds check yet
