A fun and very welcome review, but what you left out...the roof isn't for weight savings...that is the PR version of the answer. The real reason is neither the regular spyder roof, much less the powered roof, fit on top of the GT3 motor intakes. There is no room. This roof is a matter of necessity, not weight savings. (unless you're going to do a full targa / mc20 kind of deal). As Farrah said…”if you can’t fix it, feature it.”.

I'll take the 718 Spyder or the GT4RS personally, but I get it. Incredible car. The main problem for my wife and I is we regularly exceed 120 mph and we live in a wet climate.

What a difference a year makes, rung up the dealership asked if the Car in the showroom was still available. Now have a fully loaded Spyder RS sitting in the Garage. Happy Days😂😂

That roof is a modern day fail. 😂 It actually puts me off what is probably the best car in Porsches line up.

Beautiful car and I thought the roof mechanism in the Spyder was compromised but that's beyond ridiculous in 2024 😳😕
