Thank you for the video. From the Vietnamese perspective, we don’t really think about catching up to Japan or competing with them. Most of us see Japan as a remarkable country that we admire and draw inspiration from. As you said, we've been through a harsh history with wars and conflicts. So now what we expect is simply peace and prosperity for our country, to become a well-developed nation, not necessarily the most developed one.

A good introduction to Vietnam. But comparing us to Japan is too ambitious. We are still playing catch up with Thailand.

Visited Vietnam 3 times and fell in love with the people and culture. Married into the culture and looking for options of migrating there in the future. Love from The Netherlands 🇳🇱

Fun fact: After WW2, Vietnam reached out to the USA first for assistance but was ignored by then President Truman, then the French returned. Safe to say, the USA and French just couldn't keep their hands to themselves and had to learn the hard way. Viva Vietnamese Nationalism and Independence. 🎉

Recently returned from 3 weeks in Vietnam. Absolutely fell in love with the people and the culture. My friend in China told me Vietnam is like China was 15 years ago but rapidly developing. I like how it is now but know you can&apos;t hold countries back. Very insightful information.<br> There is nothing more effective to erase prejudice than traveling if you go with an open mind and an open heart. I wish everyone on the earth could travel. You would see how beautiful the world is from your own eyes not from the medias&apos; reporting,

I have lived in Vietnam for 2 years and learned a lot about the language, the culture and the country. My heart absolutely bleeds for Vietnam, it&apos;s such a wonderful place with the loveliest of people. Although I made China my home, I still will visit Vietnam several times a year and continue to learn the language &lt;3
