  Cringing at your old self is a sign of growth, but also remember that being cringe basically means being free.<br>It&apos;s not a bad thing to be cringe sometimes, if it doesn&apos;t hurt others you&apos;re essentially just being your honest self.

  I had 2 pretty corny phases growing up but I am infinitely less embarrassed about one compared to the other. The less embarrassing one happened from when I was about 12-14, and it was my PewDiePie phase. I basically became the stereotypical PewDiePie fan, but I thankfully kept my corniness mostly within my friend group because I was self aware enough not to just be straight up cringe to everyone around me. It honestly wasn&apos;t bad, and I don&apos;t regret or feel bad about that phase of my life and I honestly look back on it pretty fondly. Now the phase that I went through from the ages of 8-10 still haunts me. It really started when I bought Splatoon for the Wii U and became absolutely obsessed with it. I&apos;m not even joking when I say I was literally playing it all day, every day and made it my entire personality. I said and did the most corny things and thought I was genuinely cool. It got so bad to the point where I would write things during my free time in school that were basically fan fics of me turning into an inkling and being transported into the world of Splatoon. One of my most cringe inducing memories was when I went to my local pool and started jumping off the diving board while yelling the most random things either about Splatoon or memes. At one point I yelled &quot;smoke weed every day&quot; which got me in trouble with the life guard and I almost got grounded. I still love Splatoon to this day, but I absolutely hate how corny I was and how those memories are permanently attached to Splatoon for me 😭
