As Sonic main (I main Vector, Silver and Blaze btw), you can try to master Sonic. Since Sonic is just a piece of cake to play them, just need more practise such as Spindash combo (For PC and Console player), dodge-timing and speedboost timing (Back then, Sonic don't have a delay-like idle before boost forward). You also have to be careful with the counter, especially Lord X. Your juking skills is also good. (Btw if you faced Sonic.EXE, try to be patience first and then land a hit if you/your teammates found the exe). Talking about skills, ngl I like to juking and breaking exe's ankles, your juking skills is good. (New sub btw)
