I already had firmly planned to stay away from them, because I know what will happen, because of all the dirt they did over decades to me and others. Including our own kids. Whatever they are going through, I certainly know not to help them.

This def got a follow bc I can not explain how overly accurate it is! Those months were very significant when it went south etc in the situationship. This is all on point. Except I do not have kids with him and my tubes are tied but he was playing dad to my 2 year old son and honestly was a big help and good to him fr. I have known him 10 years as a friend or would not been so trusting with my kid with him. But yeah its beyond repair to ever be anything like that again. I do miss the friendship part but thats ok with friends like that who needs enemies right...
