Hope you all enjoy this video as much as I did putting it together! The 2033 book bit with Khan is so good if you haven’t read it before!

Khan. I missed him in Metro Exodus. I honestly think he would have been a great addition to the Aurora

"You reap what you sow, Artyom. Force answers force, war breeds war, and death only brings death. To break this vicious circle one must do more than just act without any thought or doubt."
-Khan Metro 2033

It's so interesting how there's such a big difference between the books and the games and yet both of them are such masterpieces, both of which manage to encapsulate the message of "hope".

Khan is one of the best characters in the series. He's so unique with how different of a viewpoint he has and how much he knows about the spiritual side of the Metro.

I remember playing the original 2033, meeting Khan for the 1st time being like "Oh hey, you seem like a smart and helpful dude, glad to meet you." then some time later I was reading the book and being like ""You, good sir, are not only smart, but also a fucking psychological weapon."

Loved both of his iterations.

as someone who just finished metro series, my theory is Khan was a "god-like" creature who landed on earth to reconstruct a new system/hierarchy for humans. to do that he needs a prophet on earth. that's why he knows and immediately choose artyom at the first sight

Btw, the vr metro game, metro awakening, reveals more about Khans backstory. Also it is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to play VR

It's why I always liked the "singing pipes" line.

Sure, it sounded funny, but it was a reference to a far more horrifying scene in the books.
