Comparing AI to a "junior analyst" is far too generous. Nobody would tolerate a junior analyst who (100% of the time!) leaves sloppy errors buried in their work. Imagine a situation where a colleague, as part of their standard workflow, "hallucinates" material facts, citations, figues, etc. - it would <b>never</b> be tolerated, because it would be such an unimaginable liability. And, it takes <b>so much more time</b> to comb through sloppy output looking for invisible errors, than to just be rigorous and careful to begin with.

AI makes imperceptible mistakes in literally everything I have tried to use it for. I don't trust it for anything and think we are living in the stupidest timeline imaginable. What is the long-term economic cost of introducing invisible, unpredictable inaccuracy, fragility and vulnerability into every aspect of our world?
