  I&apos;ve watched every single game of Messi as I&apos;ve always been a lifelong Barca fan..saying that prime Messi is beyond anything I&apos;ve ever seen.. in any sport. Screw the stats... just watch him

  prime messi was the greatest goalscores, passer, dribbler, playmaker, shooter, clutch player the world have ever seen at least in the champions league. 2019 messi was probably the most impressive CL performances ever when he carried a sinking ship just awful barca to semifinal in champions league would´ve reached final if he had at least average quality teammates that year

  The best part about Messi, imo, is that he rarely &quot;showed off&quot;. He was just doing him thing. It&apos;s self evident in his dribbling style. When put into tough situations he&apos;ll pull out some flash on the spot, which shows he <b>could</b> do all those fancy step overs and jukes and chips, but for the most part his dribbling is just running around with the ball glued to his foot. It doesn&apos;t go more than 6 inches away from his foot while running full speed unless he wants it to.<br><br>Also, people downplay his first UCL because he wasn&apos;t part of the team quarters and onward, but this was due to injury, not because he wasn&apos;t good enough.
