  I hate statcheckers when they ahead, but playing with a statchecker against a statchecker teaches you the game in the most basic environment you can.

  As a Tryndamere main, I can attest that Stat Checkers <b>need</b> their stats to succeed. If you&apos;ve ever played Trydnamere against Malphite you know exactly how that goes. He can match you 1v1 no problem at almost every stage of the game by virtue of how efficiently his kit counters Melee Auto Attackers, but especially one like Tryndamere who has no %health or True Damage anywhere in his kit. Even building Blade of the Ruined King and LDR into Malphite he still beats you unless you&apos;re more than a full item ahead of him. Pretty much every stat checker has matchups like that too, where the opposing champion has one or more tools that are reliably able to completely counter your Champions kit, or use it against you (Think Mundo vs Sett, for example). <br><br>On the subject of Tryndamere being on the table for a full VGU, I&apos;m very apprehensive about it. His identity and playstyle are so rigidly defined at this point that even a modernization like what Pantheon got is inevitably going to feel very different to play, imo. I love Tryndamere and play him regardless of how strong he is during a given meta just because I enjoy the freedom his kit gives you and how much his kit encourages me to focus on Macro Play and showing up for stuff to exert pressure, be it a split push, an objective fight, or a teamfight. Even Pantheon&apos;s VGU fundamentally changed how he plays even if it was mostly a modernization and feels great to play.

  It&apos;s hard to say which is worse. I feel like it comes down to micro vs macro. The more overloaded the kit the better your mechanics need to be, but as a stat checker your macro and map awareness needs to be superior because the only real skill expression you have is being in the right place at the right time

  The worst champs are stat checkers but champs like irelia who can stat check you and out play you. The joke is that you can not mess up at playing a stat checker but irelia can miss ever ability and with her passive out stat you
