Barbara Luna was my acting teacher when I lived in London, and as soon as I saw those wild narrow eyes, she sent me back 20 years.  So great to see her, and what a fabulous episode.  She stole the show....  I love you guys and your work!

I love how the only "weird" thing about the alien guy is his odd sideburns.  Fits in exactly with the original series.

57:58-Military advisers? That's something the current movies need (as much as I love them.)

Its a shame James is not longer playing Kirk in these... He does a good job!

This is my favourite episode of Star Trek Phase 2. Being a lifelong fan of the Original (which I first saw as a child in the early 1990's) I have long waited for a series like this, that is simply what Star Trek would have been had it continued to a 4th season. I enjoy the other Star Trek series and original films - I have not seen the new Abrams versions and don't wish to from the trailers - but this is by far the best thing since Turnabout Intruder!

Shatner is also a classically trained actor and won good notices in early films like Judgement at Nuremburg, if you watch the series, between any directed over acting, which was pretty much standard in sci-fi shows of the sixties, you will see great moments of restrained acting from Shatner, showing his range. He has great range and well judged comic timing, the man has won Emmy's. You don't win them for being a full on Ham.

OMG - did anyone else notice that the dagger Barbara Luna used on the poor engineer around 29:15 are of the same design used in TOS "Mirror, Mirror" - where the same Barbara Luna played the Captain's woman?  And, the Eagle, lost 8 years ago, also uses Starfleet uniforms of that period.  Good continuity and consistency!  This effort, STP2, absolutely rocks!!  Five thumbs up...if I were a species which could give such.
