Smooth a small amount of honey on top before the icing sugar, to "lock" the icing sugar on and the honey will keep the top from drying out also when left out for a party or the like.

My mom was Sicilian. She taught me how to cook. It's nice to see someone who follows those good cooking techniques: mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately, sift the flour, then combine slowly. It makes a huge difference. Great video!!! I can't wait to make this cake!!

That looks so delicious. Watching this video was so calming and I realized how nice it is not to have a loud, obnoxious, and "yahoo-ing" person trying to demonstrate a recipe. Loved this. And I will try this cake recipe.

For those wondering about pan size. I made this (with success) in my 9 1/2 inch quiche dish. I think any round baking dish between 9-10 inches would work well. Hope that helps!
