Had my ischemic stroke in 2017. Ran 28 marathons and many other races prior. It's an eye opener. I'm 77 now and gone is that feeling that tomorrow's another day. Nothing is taken for granted. Savor what you have, met too many people who now carry a lot of health baggage and incapabilities. Don't say you weren't warned!

AI doctors are hard to watch, but this information is perfect. I hope it saves lives.

I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night couple years ago, all I remember is someone turning out the lights. Next thing I knew I was on the floor getting up. I did a MRI and my doc said I had a stroke and put me on Atorvastatin. All my number have been great for 3 years. You talk about a wake-up call, I quit drinking, started working out and eating real food. The ironic part, I've been a caregiver for my wife who had a major stroke 7 years ago.

Good information, even if it might be AI. None of us want to have the devastating effects of a stroke, including paralysis or death. Knowing how to change our lifestyle to prevent strokes is so important but knowing how to recognize symptoms is equally important. Thank you.

They slip through the cracks because presenting to the ER without active symptoms will get you turned away almost every single time, and it takes 4 weeks to get an appointment anywhere else.

I am 74. when I was 71 I had an ischemic stroke. Here is the thing……based on this video…I had ZERO effects……it was a surprise. The day AFTER, the stroke, I had a horrendous headache that lasted all day and the day after that, I noticed that my peripheral vision was not working. the ER said it was just stress. the eye doc did a test and said the test he did showed TWO strokes had occured and get to to the ER now. Thankfully…..it took 6 months to get my brain back to “normal” and all is well.

I feel annoyed at my elderly mother’s doctors. She had moments when she spoke complete gibberish. It didn’t last long and the doctor’s said it was TIA but it was not anything to worry about. Later she had a full stroke where she lost the movement of one arm and could not speak. She died not long afterwards. Perhaps if we hadn’t trusted the doctors saying it was not anything to worry about, we could have prevented her full stroke. Thank you for this video

I had a subarachnoid hemorrhage 30 years ago. The day before, I was driving to work, and I couldn't stay in the lines. <br>I felt so weird that I actually thought to myself, "I should probably tell somebody how I'm feeling in case I have a stroke."<br>😢

I'm a 72 y/o female never smoker non-drinker. I've had several TIA's over the years; each one worse than the last. The last episode was just a month ago that landed me in the hospital for 5 days getting EVERYTHING worked up. MRI of the brain, ECG, carotid ultrasound, numerous blood tests, continuous heart monitoring. All of the tests were unremarkable. I know I've got a ticking time-bomb in my head, yet I feel like there's nothing I can do about it. I've asked my MD for a referral to a neurologist but that hasn't happened yet. The only positive outcome is that it motivated me to complete my estate planning.
