❤ watch your baby girl is going to grow up and be one of the huge designers that is known around the world, and when they ask when her passion started she’ll say well my mom didn’t like her kitchen. 😃 you did a great job!

I just came across your channel and was SO impressed by your insistence on doing things ‘the right way’ instead of the expedient way, even though this isn’t your ‘forever home.’    I’m 74 and I’ve done a lot of DIY in my lifetime, and I can tell you that doing things the correct way is not something you will ever regret, whereas the expedient way doesn’t always give a good & lasting result.    Brava to you and much success & happiness in your home.

You did AMAZING! This is honestly the longest video I’ve watched from start to finish. I love that you showed both the highs and lows of DIY. After my MANY fails with crown and cove, I’ve only been successful by flipping it upside down to cut it—try that next time 😊

A wallpaper decorator taught me the trick to removing old wallpaper…especially the older types.  Dissolve a cup of calgon water softener powder or liquid in warm water and soak the wall in small sections.  It literally scrapes off like snow from a windshield.

Watching a year after this dropped. The whole 2 hours.  Loved watching the highs and lows. Taught me to take my time with the projects I'm starting in my home.

I don't know that I've ever watched an almost five hour video in my life! But you are easy to watch and listen to. Really great job, too. Nice family there. Loved the dynamic to watch a woman do the makeover, as I anticipate doing some serious DIY kitchen work myself in the not too distant future. Thanks for the inspiration and instruction, April.
