  I always liked to think the reason as to why Paimon loves such human activites such as eating, sleeping, spending time with people, seeking knowledge as we seen in the Akedemiya, being a guide to The Traveller is because Paimon herself IS trying to find her reason. We see this whenever she introduces herself to ppl too, she always refers to herself as 'Travellers travelling companian' or smth of that sort. Her old self is trying to piece her back together, almost, by discovering new things and trying new things. Idk, just a theory and funny thought but i think its cool

  i think Istaroth is being smart here using Venti as her proxy so that hp didnt have a suspicious of her shenanigans.

  I&apos;m pretty sure Columbina is an analogue to Paimon, came into existence way later to her peers and was a shell of whatever she was- A New Moon goddess, A New Archangel.

  Paimon was supposed to be the shade of gluttony, but, after she was pulled down to Teyvat, the other four shades decided that maybe gluttony was not really something to be worshipped, so she was demoted.

  a small thing to add that i haven&apos;t seen anyone touch on -<br><br>as we all know, hoyoverse likes &quot;connecting&quot; their games&apos; lore. whether that be a simple reference or some kind of direct connection, they like to do it and leave it up for interpretation rather than fully confirming it. so:<br><br>in honkai impact 3rd, there are these things called herrschers which is a ruler of a certain domain that the honkai use to attack humanity, but the herrscher power gets usurped by humans that it manifests inside of in a lot of cases like what im about to explain<br><br>herrschers don&apos;t really match the shades in lore, mostly, but with asmoday, she is very very blatantly inspired by the herrscher of the void aka herrscher of space. the cube thing she does is something that that herrscher does too. they look and sound like each other, i believe they share the same voice actress. sooo...<br><br>there IS a herrscher of reason, bronya zaychik. she uses the herrscher&apos;s power for good as a human. beyond the name, that is where the paimon connection ends (as far as i know) besides one small but interesting detail:<br><br>paimon refers to herself in the third person. rarely, if ever, does she use a reflexive pronoun<br><br>&quot;paimon isn&apos;t emergency food&quot; &quot;paimon is tired&quot; <br><br>she never replaces &quot;paimon&quot; with &quot;i&quot;, which is something bronya spent years doing. she would refer to herself as &quot;the bronya&quot; exactly as paimon does. they are extremely different personalities, bronya being more like the tsaritsa than paimon, but it&apos;s that tendency to talk in the third person like &nbsp;a stereotypical AI would. a database, which is essentially what the herrscher of reason is, would, logically, talk in the third person. being the manifestation of reason itself would not allow a direct connection to one&apos;s &quot;self,&quot; whatever that means here. first person requires bias, a skewed perspective; third person requires analysis of what IS.<br><br>i don&apos;t play honkai impact 3rd anymore, but i&apos;m fairly certain bronya eventually stopped referring to herself in the third person but only after she becomes a full adult in her silverwing battlesuit, not sure<br><br>i think the timing here, the fact that the herrscher of reason (which later becomes the herrscher of truth and the original translation literally means &quot;herrscher of true reason&quot;) has a crown like paimon&apos;s when bronya becomes the herrscher of true reason that i just mentioned, their tendency to talk in the third person (which bronya did even before becoming the herrscher of reason), their vast knowledge and intelligence, the evidence you&apos;ve presented in this video, and knowing about the aforementioned hoyoverse pattern of referencing or connecting their games&apos; lore... i think she really is the shade of reason

  An interesting concept would be what if Paimon being pulled down from celestia is the real reason for Khanriah&apos;s downfall and everything with the abyss was &nbsp;a convenient cover story. We have learned that angels are crowned to shackle them. Paimon could have ben crowned while being pulled from celestia which is why she had no memories or authority. paimon could be the heavenly principals trump card...a new vessel to carry its essence or will and she was taken before she matured. the only issue now is that she seemed to form her own identity and autonomy. none of the shades seemed to be actively looking for her. renova being the most loyal would make sense why she saw her and immediately moved to retrieve her. We know azmoday and istaroth both seen her with the traveller when viewing him and they made no effort to retrieve her

  Paimon in Genshin is the childlike Empress from Neverending Story is my guess because it also has an abyss called the nothing and the empress and nothing can&apos;t exist without each other.<br>And for sure we&apos;ll have to give Paimon a new name to defeat the abyss

  Paimon being the 5th shade and representing the circlet makes sense especially with the fact she has a crown/circlet floating above her head.

  after watching catwithbluehats video, I&apos;m convinced there&apos;s some kinda curse of reason that all the shades are under. Whenever people question what paimon is it always gets hand waved and no further questions get asked, no one truly sees paimon every person describes her differently. In this case though its not a punishment its how hp protects themselves. It seems to me they can never truly defeat hp if any of the shades remain, so a seemingly powerless shade with no authority that no one can truly acknowledge feels like a pretty good plan. There was another game I played that did something like that, the final boss had 3 targets and the most impressive target was a decoy and the real boss was one of the 2 smaller unassuming enemies. now why was she pulled down? she could&apos;ve been a harbinger of things to come and/or they were being tested and utterly failed.
