  I love the island of Crete. It is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the people are wonderful. One place you didn't mention that I really enjoyed was the Samaria Gorge. Yes, you have to be in relatively good health as it is a 10 mile hike, but it is well worth the effort. The trail starts high above the gorge with a 6KM downhill hike to reach the bottom of the gorge, some 5000 feet below. Then it is a meandering 10KMs through amazing scenery, soaring cliff faces, cold spring creeks, a tiny abandoned ghost town, and ends at the black sand beach of the tiny town of Agia Roumeli.

  I first set eyes upon Elafonnisi 22 years ago when there was absolutely nothing there but pure beauty. Wading across the lagoon was unforgettable and I felt tears well up from its sheer captivating natural paradise.<br>Spinalonga Island is haunting especially if you read the iconic book ( “ The Island”/ Victoria Hislop) before going. Very emotive as is every Village, Town and City.<br>Returning in 2 weeks to a smalll Village with my Sister in-law who first introduced my Family to her “ Spiritual Home.”<br>Memories abound- since both our husbands have passed but their spirits will join us there for certain!🙏

  Great to see more from you Ryan! I see Crete as one of the most blessed places on earth: almost year-round sunshine, no deadly animals, abundant fresh water supply from many springs, rich soil for the tastiest produce and more history than anywhere I can think of...that&apos;s not even counting the diversity of landscapes + beaches!!!

  You can vicit Vai Palm Forest and Beach, Chrissi islet, Ferma Beach , Achlia Beach and Xirokampos beach (it&apos;s paradise) in the eastern part next time. &nbsp;Karnagio in Elounda is also beautiful for a walk.There&apos;s also thousands of beaches that only locals tend to know, many gorgeous areas in eastern and southern regions are not that advertised and that&apos;s fine too to be honest.Most of these places look divine beiing unorganized and not overcrowded. The lake in Agios Nikolaos was also freshwater. The canal, connecting it to the port, was manmade to keep the water flowing at the rims, but at the center the depth is crazy and the lake has currents. Just some addtional info. Great video! Kudos for going across big distnaces to see all these places!

  Crete is really big for an Aegean island and has so many great beaches and places to see. Being into archeology and ancient civilizations, i&apos;ve visited the Minoan Palace of Knossos (partly reconstructed), and also the Herakiion archeological Museum. There&apos;s also Roman ruins at Gortyna. The town of Rethymnon is interesting for its Old Town with its cobblestone streets. Samaria Gorge National Park is stunning. As usual a great video.

  Thanks for the great suggestions! I&apos;m visiting Crete for two weeks in August and will absolutely plan to visit some of these places. Balos might be top of the list!
