This might be one of the craziest stories I’ve ever heard. What are your thoughts?

He vaguely implies he couldn’t make it through a contract in the military but is suddenly John Wick when he shows up at a PMC. Sure thing boss.

I'm was born and raised in Vermont and everything you have said is absolutely right!! It's small town corruption at It's best! But not all Vermonters are like this, 95% are. I believe that things will work out for you because their is only one judge ,in the end we all have to answer to him.

I know someone that has had their building permit revoked after erecting the building because all the sudden neighbors complained in a city hall meeting.  Complained about noise in a 36sq mile Township that has nearly 100k people.

Brother, I feel your pain. I learned the hard way that when you challenge the system the system fights back and they have all the time and money in the world to grind you under foot.  In 2006 I ran against the guy dubbed “America’s sheriff” by the national media in Orange County, California and lost. He retaliated against me forcing me out of the Department. I filed a lawsuit for constructive discharge which is the legal term for an illegal firing. Six months later, the sheriff was indicted and subsequently convicted for political corruption, and in and up in federal prison for five years. Despite that my case dragged on for seven years. As in your case, they delayed it as long as they could and paid a host of lawyers at tax payers expense to uphold this now convicted felon’s action against me. Ultimately, it was assigned to an honorable judge who issued a tentative ruling on my behalf on every count, finally compelling them to settle. But it took 7 long years. As a career, law-enforcement officer, like you, I had faith in the system, but I learned the hard way that the system is often very corrupt and unfair even if you ultimately win in the end.  I didn’t end up in jail or prison but that isn’t the only way they can screw with you. Good luck and God bless!
