  A fair analysis of this situation’s reality. The truth: nearly all “relationships” will be transactional. In many ways, this is more honest than western-style marriage. And given terrible divorce laws, transactional is superior.

  I&apos;m 63, married to a Thai woman, 32. &nbsp;We met online and now live in southern CA. &nbsp;Very happy. &nbsp;She had worked her entire career in a BKK hospital and never been near the nightlife scene. &nbsp;There are good women out there. &nbsp;You just have to go slow, use common sense, and keep your head on a swivel.

  If she starts making excuses to be away from you, especially concerning “my buffalo is sick”… it’s time to rethink the relationship my friend… but all joking aside, I really like how you elaborated on your experiences. I had a similar relationship experience in Thailand only the relationship did not go as far as yours did. I picked up on the red flags rather quickly. The final goodbye was a brutal awakening as to what women really are all about, and it is never about loyalty for them. It’s more so about the overall growth and experience that the man can offer which always includes resources and building for her and her family. Her loyalty is always to her family and her own survival… period. Every relationship or “sponsor”ship is like a page or a chapter in her book. It was King Solomon, son of King David who said “One in a thousand I have found to be a good man, but a good woman I have not found.” …my conclusion to all of this is “‘man has the seed, women represent the soil.” Best of luck my friend.

  Don’t beat yourself up man. We’ve all been there in one way or another. Finally found the right person and am coming up on 20 years of marriage. It’s these types of experiences that help us navigate to the right person. Take heart you must experience pain to understand and appreciate joy when you find the right partner.
