Hey! So this video almost didn’t happen because I lost about 90% of my footage from Comic Con 2024 in a hard drive accident. But after putting so much work into it, I decided to push on and finish it using more stock footage than I originally planned.

I’m hoping to film loads more at my next San Diego Comic Con and make a bigger, better, updated version of this guide — so if you’ve got any tips, spot any errors, or want something explained more clearly, drop a comment! With your help, the next video will be even better 💪

Nice video, I’ll be volunteering again this year which is a neat experience (If you see someone in a Frozone outfit that’s me lol). Regarding the whole making friends thing, it’s been a struggle for me (probably cause I’m neurodivergent). Talking to anyone is no problem for the most part but sadly trying to establish potential friendships with other con loving individuals has been painful, glad to hear you made many friends at the convention center 🎉🎉

Great video with plenty of tips for first time go-ers. I've been going to SDCC for 20+ years and I still get hyped watching videos likes yours. Hopefully you'll be at 2026 comic con.

This was awesome and super helpful! I’m going for the first time this year, and I’m really excited. I didn’t know about the exclusives portal until now — if I wanted to get an autograph from one of the groups on there, have I completely missed out by not registering or is there still the ability to get into line the day of in the convention? :/

I heard they are changing how they are doing hotels now...it's a queue--like the badges--and everyone goes in and picks out a hotel. From what the new info I am gathering, everyone will have access to the queue room, but it is a free-for-all to pick which hotel you are after. There is no group favoring anymore--it's first come, first serve. Also, I am hearing no refunds either if you and another friend get a hotel and needed only 1.
